Switch from Ethernet to Wireless Internet Today!

In this day and age, technology is changing so fast, at such a ridiculously rapid pace, that it can seem impossible for the average person to keep up. It seems like once you get a new gadget or appliance, six months later it is rendered irrelevant by some newer, shinier piece of technology that debuts on the market. Unless you spend all of your time reading gadget magazines, or have a limitless budget to blow on brand new electronics a couple of times a year, it is almost tempting to completely give up – to throw up your hands and accept that you are going to be one of those old fogies who is hopelessly behind the times.

But while it is not always necessary to follow every trendy technological change – no one is forcing you to trade in your reliable cell phone for a new 4G Internet phone with mobile broadband Internet technologies, for example – there are a few recent developments you want to take note of. One of these major changes to affect Americans not just in Las Vegas but across the country and around the world is the introduction of wireless Internet. While only a decade ago most people had to access the Internet through services routed via their home telephone lines, tying up the phone anytime someone went online, now this is not necessary. Many people made the switch to cable Internet – a route box with a cable that could attach to a desktop computer. This technological progression allowed people to use the phone and the Internet at the same time (or for different people in the same house to do so). It also has allowed for much faster, more reliable Internet. This has allowed the world of the Internet to become an even more important and central part of people’s lives. The ease and speed with which people can get online has made them switch over just about every activity to online – shopping, sending personal correspondence with friends and family, work organization, video watching, etcetera. And so if you have become one of those people whose lives center largely on access to the Internet, one upgrade that is definitely worth making is going from cable Internet to wireless Internet.

What does wireless Internet have that standard cable Internet does not? Both services are fast and reliable, but wireless Internet allows you the flexibility of “unplugging” and getting online from anywhere in your home or office. If you have a laptop, for example, you can sit at the breakfast room table and check your email in the morning with your cup of coffee or as you munch on some cereal or a bagel. You can watch a movie before bed with your laptop set up on your bedside table, streaming from one of the many countless online video websites. You can read the online editions of your favorite magazines or newspapers as you sit on the couch in your living room, with your 4G phone hooked up to mobile broadband. Basically – the world is yours, with no strings (or DSL cables) attached.
