Technology Is Paving the Way for More Connected World

When it comes to technology, we can and have come to expect new innovations practically every week. Bright and brilliant minds are coming up with modern marvels that few could have ever imagined before. Inventions astound and amaze. Often times though, many of us become so used to the technology that exists, that we can’t imagine that it could dramatically improve and within such a short time. The cell phone of the early eighties, as you may recall, looked nothing like the slim, bite sized mobiles we had today—and back then, those gigantic phones were totally styling. The internet, moreover, was once a mystic, somewhat noisy thing that gurgled as you were dialing in and waiting to get connected, ever so slowly. That dial-up internet, which really isn’t so old at all, was once the common place thing. It was the thing and people roared with glee when they finally got connected and had a virtual piece of mail in their inboxes. Today, there rarely is a moment when we aren’t connected. It’s a simple fact of life.
We are always on. That’s probably the reason why it’s so hard to really see the possibility of changes until they are firmly entrenched in our lives and we don’t even remember when things weren’t the way that they are today.

Such is the novelty of new telephony and wireless standards such as 4G. For those who aren’t familiar with this technology, 4G is simply what comes next in communications. It is the fourth generation of telecom standards and rules, meaning its basic aim is to be bigger, better and faster than what came before it. Currently, people complain about slow speeds, especially when it comes to data transfer; they wince about dropped calls and spotty connections. They grimace when the service is overloaded or when they’ve roamed into some dead zone that oddly doesn’t have any connection despite being in the middle of the city.

And yet, we take these problems as granted. We expect them. We know that they will and do occur and for all our griping, we really cannot expect perfection at least, not for a long time. But this falling into place, this expectation of trouble is exactly why improvements when they are made, take people by storm. True, oftentimes, telecommunications companies offer the world and more and they cannot make the commitment, but 4G is raising the bar significantly. It is the improvement that you’ve been waiting for and more. In fact, it’s what people have been waiting for without even knowing it.

4G promises faster internet connectivity; it’s more expansive; it opens the gateway for WiMax, a new and vastly improved wireless, mobile internet service; with WiMax customers will be able to buy anything WiMax certified and have instant internet access and they’ll have internet access all over—within the city, outside the city, on the road and beyond. 4G and WiMax are here to change the world. They will bring us closer together.

Wimax is changing the way the world works. Forget about 2G and 3G, 4 G is the way to go.
